Hello blogging world! My name is Bridget and I started this blog as a way to share my journey of self discovery through tarot. Some creatives express themselves through art or writing or travel and while I love all those things, my expression comes in the form of divination. I was eleven when I had my first experience with tarot after I begged my grandmother to let me tag along on one of her appointments with a tarot reader. Not only was the reader pulling cards with the most beautiful images on them, she was telling a fascinating story and I fell instantly in love! I would walk to the library or used book store after school and secretly read up on anything I could find on tarot, although, back in the eighties there wasn't a market for tarot and divination books like there is today. I was in my early twenties when I finally picked up my very own deck. It was the traditional Rider-Waite deck, also known today as the Rider-Waite-Smith deck. I thoroughly enjoyed learning with that deck but I lost it during one of my many moves. After I lost the deck life happened and we sort of went our separate ways. I became a wife and a mother and I had more important adventures ahead of me. Then, a few years ago, I decided to check out a new bookstore in my town and that day changed my life. I was amazed at how the world seemed to suddenly produce an abundance of artists and writers dedicated to creating books and oracle and tarot decks. I couldn't believe the incredible options I saw before me. That day in the bookstore opened up a new door for me, a new chapter in my life and this is where my journey with tarot truly begins.
